Pension options
  • Pension Option 1: Upon retirement, many people find that they are in a dilemma. Do I take my full pension, and leave my spouse with nothing when I die ?

  • Pension Option 2: Do I take a substantial cut in my pension, to give my spouse roughly half of a pension?

  • If I take Pension Option One and I die, how is my spouse going to survive without an income? If I select Pension Option Two, my pension will be cut (usually permanently) any where from 15-40%. Then my spouse will only receive half of my already reduced pension. If my spouse dies before I, then I am spending 15-40% of my pension for absolutely nothing.  How do I make sure that both my spouse and I can survive financially---- no matter who passes away first?

  • Universal Union Benefits may have the solution for you. We can show you how you can have PENSION OPTION THREE! It can give you complete flexibility. You can take Pension Option One, your full pension, and still guarantee your spouse an income if you die. Then, if your spouse dies first you can still have your full pension. It gives you the best of both worlds. If you would like more information on this product click here
